GRV Nursing Institutes successfully organized the Lamp Lighting Ceremony for the 4th Batch of B.Sc. Nursing and 7th Batch of GNM students on 19th June 2026 at the college campus.
The programme commenced with a grand procession followed by a prayer song. The gathering was welcomed with a warm welcome speech and a cultural welcome dance presented by the students.
The highlight of the event was the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing the noble values of the nursing profession inspired by Florence Nightingale. The students then took the Florence Nightingale Oath, pledging their commitment to compassionate, ethical, and professional nursing care.
The event was graced by Dr. Muthuhir Hafeez, Taluk Health Officer, Devanahalli Taluk, as the Chief Guest. The programme was further honoured by the presence of Mr. Gururaj Mansabdar, Chairman, Mr. Rahul Mansabdar, Director, and Mr. Muneer Ahmed, Program Director, GRV Group of Institutions, as Guests of Honour.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and motivated the students to uphold the values of the nursing profession and dedicate themselves to serving society with compassion and commitment. The Chairman also shared his valuable insights and encouraged the students to strive for excellence in both academics and professional practice.
The Annual Report of the institution was presented by Prof. Blessy Jeslin, Principal, GRV Nursing Institutes, highlighting the academic achievements, institutional growth, student accomplishments, and various activities conducted during the academic year.
As part of the programme, Academic Excellence Awards were presented to deserving students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and dedication to learning. The award recipients were appreciated for their hard work and commitment to excellence.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem.
The Lamp Lighting Ceremony marked an important milestone in the journey of the budding nurses, inspiring them to carry forward the legacy of Florence Nightingale with dedication, compassion, integrity, and professionalism.
